Sweet as Honey Garden Party

This baby shower had a Honey Bee Summer Picnic theme.  The parents to be are beekeepers and when they found out they were having a little girl, the thought of ‘Queen Bee’ came to mind.  The shower was during the heat of the summer, so it was natural to play along with the weather and have a traditional summer BBQ.  Appetizers were carrots in hummus, fruit skewers, fresh fruits and veggies.  The main course was North Carolina BBQ sandwiches with a homemade sauce, bacon and blu cheese potato salad, and classic chips.  Dessert was Chocolate Mint pudding cups and Honey Bee Hive cake.  Drinks were beer, mint lemonade in recycled glass bottles, sparking water, and wine.  Favors were honey sticks.
